Orange County Soccer Club serves the youth of Orange County, a suburban community about 10 miles south of downtown Orlando, Florida. The majority of the players come from Dr. Phillips, Metro West, Windermere, Ocoee, Hunter’s Creek and southern Orlando.
OCSC has approximately 1,400 players ranging from U:5 through U:19, competing at the recreational, competitive and select levels. The program for U11 and under introduces players to the concept and skills of small-sided games.
OCSC sponsors the development and maintenance of 8 fields at Westridge Middle School, located at the corner of Oakridge Road and South John Young Parkway. OCSC is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation and receives no government funding to maintain its annual operation. The operational work is done by volunteers. In 2002-2003, OCSC was a “Field of Dreams” grant recipient, receiving approximately $90,000.00 in funding from Orange County Parks and Recreation to upgrade the complex at Westridge Middle School.
