2020 – 2021 (LA Galaxy): Saw action with Galaxy’s first team and USL Championship affiliate LA Galaxy II.
2019 (Orlando City SC): Moved on loan to Orlando City SC, started in all of his appearances.
2016 – 2019 (Real Salt Lake): Signed an MLS Homegrown Player contract with RSL in 2016 and made a total of 29 appearances.
2015 – 2018 (Real Monarchs): Made his professional debut with Real Monarchs after being with the club’s academy in Arizona.
International Experience
Acosta moved to Sandy, Utah, at 12-years-old where his father had been living, making him eligible to represent the U.S. Men’s National Team. Acosta was called-up at the U-18 and U-20 levels, before attending a senior team training camp in January 2018. Acosta won the 2017 CONCACAF U-20 Championship coached by Tab Ramos and scored the deciding penalty in the Final against Honduras. Acosta featured in the 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup and helped guide the team to the quarterfinals.
For the 2019 CONCACAF Gold Cup, Acosta was called-up by Honduras and did not make an appearance. In 2021, he finally made his debut for Los Catrachos making two appearances during the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.
