OC, We Need Your Support
Tomorrow night will be one of the most important evenings in Club history.
We are urging all of our fans, partners and the broader soccer community to attend the September 13 City of Irvine Council meeting at 5pm.
The past few weeks have been a difficult time for all of us who love and support this club – and although beating Galaxy on Saturday in front of a full-house gave us some comfort, there is still another victory we need.
We need the Council to come up with a positive, pro-active and clear statement that they are guaranteeing we can play at Championship Soccer Stadium in 2023.
That is what we are going to the Council meeting tomorrow for.
This isn’t a meeting for speeches – we gave them last time – this is a meeting to pack the room so they can see what this Stadium means to all of us and just listen.
And then hopefully give them a cheer as loud as we gave our boys when they lifted the Conference Final trophy last year.

Tomorrow night will be one of the most important evenings in Club history.
We are urging all of our fans, partners and the broader soccer community to attend the City of Irvine Council meeting at 5pm.
The past few weeks have been a difficult time for all of us who love and support this club – and although beating Galaxy on Saturday in front of a full-house gave us some comfort, there is still another victory we need.
We have clearly articulated to the Council that what we are looking for is certainty about our future.
Given the statements we have heard, the reports we have read and the FOIA-linked communications that have been published, just rolling over the MOU isn’t enough anymore.
We need the Council to come up with a positive, pro-active and clear statement that they are guaranteeing we can play at Championship Soccer Stadium in 2023.
That is what we are going to the Council meeting tomorrow for.

OCSC’s RFP Status
The City issued an RFP (Request for Proposal) for management of Championship Soccer Stadium early this year. In response, OCSC sent in submission for which we are awaiting a response. Here is an excerpt from that RFP:
Championship Soccer Stadium is a jewel in the crown of Irvine and has the potential for greater sustainable growth and deeper community involvement.
As a club playing at the highest level of professional soccer in Orange County and in keeping with our stated ambition of local heart and global vision, we bring a unique combination of local community engagement and international exposure to the venue.
We propose to optimize the use of Championship Soccer Stadium, grow accessibility and enjoyment for the community, create and optimize revenues for the facility, the Great Park and the city of Irvine while maintaining the stadium and playing surface at best-in-class standards.
Most of all, we want to make Championship Soccer Stadium the permanent home of OCSC.
