SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (September 26, 2020) – Orange County SC will head out to Arizona to face conference rival Phoenix Rising FC.

OC remain in fourth place but are just two points off of San Diego in second place. Orange County also have two games in hand on Loyal SC. Phoenix currently leads the group with 26 points but have yet to clinch a playoff spot.
Phoenix and Orange County last played in July. In two back to back matches at home, OC drew once and won once, conceding just one goal over 180 minutes.
Much like last week, this match is do-or-die for OC as they look to make the playoffs.
Both teams will enter into this match with full rest. Phoenix last played and lost to San Diego in a five-goal thriller. OC last beat Vegas 1-0.
Darwin Jones opened his scoring in 2020, while Ugo Okoli and Aodhan Quinn created chance after chance in the previous match. Still, against a high-scoring side, defensive resolve will be OC’s key to victory. Robbie Kiernan and Nathan Smith have proven to be two excellent signings alongside proven defenders Kevin Alston and Michael Orozco.
Harry Forrester is unavailable for selection.
The match kicks off at 7:30 p.m. Pacific at Casino Arizona Field in Scottsdale. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+ in the United States. The game is also available internationally on the USL Championship YouTube channel.
