IRVINE, Calif. (April 13, 2018) –Orange County SC are back on the road this weekend as they prepare for their duel against San Antonio FC on Saturday, April 14 at 5:30 PM at Toyota Field. Having won their last three matches, Orange County SC heads into Saturday’s match sitting in second place of the Western Conference standings.
The club recently won 3-0 in the first installment of the 405 Derby against LA Galaxy II on Saturday, April 7. Receiving a well crafted pass from forward Michael Seaton, midfielder Mark Segbers got behind Los Dos defenders John Requejo and Tomas Hillard-Arce and fired a shot right between the legs of goal keeper Eric Lopez, recording his first professional goal. Segbers would go on to score the brace in the 59th minute off a pass at the top of the box from midfielder Koji Hashimoto. In the 89th minute, forward Nansel Selbol closed out the night with a world-class finish to the right corner of the net providing Orange County SC with the 3-0 win.
Saturday’s match marks the fifth match between the two teams. Orange County SC look to avenge 1-0 loss against San Antonio from last season that provided SAFC with it’s first-ever USL Playoff berth.
