IRVINE, Calif. (April 24, 2018) – Orange County Soccer Club announced the addition of central midfielder Nicolás Czornomaz to the club’s already very talented roster. The Argentinian joins Orange County SC on loan from the club’s Major League Soccer (“MLS”) affiliate Los Angeles Football Club (“LAFC”).
Formerly with Superliga Club Social y Deportivo Defensa y Justicia, the 22-year-old joined LAFC on trial in February. The son of historical Argentine goalscorer, Pirate Adrián Czornomaz, Nicolás appeared during LAFC’s preseason friendly against Sacramento Republic FC.

Czornomaz is eligible to play on Wednesday, April 25 when Orange County SC takes on Rio Grande Valley FC Toros at H-E-B Park at 5:00 PM (PST). Orange County SC returns home to Championship Soccer Stadium at Orange County Great Park on Saturday, April 28 when they take on Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC at 7:00 PM (PST). Fans attending Saturday’s match will also have the opportunity to join forces with Orange County SC, Soccer For Hope and Be The Match as they team up to find a bone marrow match for 5-month-old Bruno Lara. Bruno was recently diagnosed with an extremely rare immunodeficiency disease, HLH. Fans in attendance will be able to register for the bone marrow registry to help save a life.
