IRVINE, Calif. (June 16, 2018) –Orange County SC return tonight to Championship Soccer Stadium when they take on Reno 1868 FC for Family Movie Night presented by Enthusiast Media Group. Fans in attendance are invited to stay after the match to watch Disney Pixar’s The Incredibles on the pitch for free, while enjoying A&W root beer floats.
Tonight, Orange County SC’s newest partner Dr. Pepper Snapple Group is teaming up with Spectra by Comcast Spectacor to benefit Ronald McDonald House of Orange County. Following the match, fans may purchase an A&W root beer float in a free souvenir mug (while supplies last) with net proceeds going to Ronald McDonald House of Orange County. It is through the generous donations of Dr. Pepper Snapple Group and Spectra that make the night possible. Dr. Pepper Snapple Group is donating all A&W root beer and the souvenir mugs, while Spectra is providing all ice cream and supplies.
Following last Sunday’s 1-0 win against LA Galaxy II, the club currently is two points ahead of Reno 1868 in the Western Conference Standings. A compact and methodical Orange County SC backline continues to challenge opponents and provide opportunities for the club. The combination of a tight backline and seven saves by Andre Rawls brought home the win for against Los Dos. The Orange County SC goal came in the 82ndminute when Mats Bjurman sent a beautifully weighted pass to Thomas Enevevoldsen who sent the ball in low to the bottom left corner. Reno 1868 FC heads into tonight’s match on a 10-game unbeaten streak, with familiar faces of Duke Lacroix and Jerry van Ewijk facing their former club.
Orange County SC will go head-to-head against Tulsa Roughnecks FC for Beach Towel Night presented by 24 Hour Fitness at Championship Soccer Stadium next Saturday, June 23rdat 7:00 PM.
