LAS VEGAS, Nev. (August 25, 2020) – Orange County have a quick turnaround following their 2-1 win over Los Dos. Now the undefeated side will travel to Las Vegas and look to do a 10-day double over the Lights.

In Group B, Orange County remains in second place, with 14 points from six matches. Las Vegas remains at the bottom of the group, with five points from six. Both teams have three games in hand on group leaders Phoenix.
Both sides played on the weekend and both had successful results. Orange County picked up another three points against Los Dos, while Las Vegas rescued an extra time draw against Phoenix.
As a result, the hosts may come into this match with growing confidence. The six-goal thriller with Phoenix was just the second time this season that Las Vegas have scored more than one goal, the first coming just days prior against Tacoma. Las Vegas also presents a physical challenge for Orange County with triple-digit temperatures forecast at kickoff and a Lights team that has picked up a booking in all but one match this season.
It will be a good test for an Orange County defense that, despite conceding from a free kick on the weekend, had not been beaten in over 270 minutes. It has been a team effort, from Brian Iloski’s pressing to Robbie Kiernan and Michael Orozco’s disciplined back four. OC look comfortable conceding possession, averaging 46% possession per game, but boast a pass completion rate over 80% and average a goal for every 77 minutes.
Cammy Palmer was the hero of the match against Los Dos with a goal and an assist in a Man of the Match performance. Ugo Okoli also continued his run of good form, tallying another goal for OC.
Nathan Smith may be a late decision, as the fullback came off with a knock against Los Dos.
The match kicks off at 7 p.m. Pacific at Cashman Field in Las Vegas. The game is the ESPN Deportés game of the week and will also be streamed live in English on ESPN+ in the United States. The game is available internationally on the USL Championship YouTube channel.
