Last week, OCSC announced the formation of a new Academy team for the USL Academy Southwest Division, which will allow OCSC to bring in more young players into their system and develop them in a professional environment. With that announcement, OCSC also introduced the new OCSC Youth Soccer Network, which allows youth soccer organizations of all levels to form a partnership with their local pro club.

OCSC has historically chosen not to have its own separate youth club because they have always wanted to provide support to all youth soccer organizations in Orange County regardless of their level, while at the same time identifying the most talented 1% and helping them reach the highest level of soccer each player is capable of achieving. In keeping with that decision, OCSC is now forming the new OCSC Youth Soccer Network to provide a clear pathway from recreational soccer to professional soccer. The OCSC Youth Soccer Network is open to ALL youth soccer organizations and to players of all levels; it has created three levels of membership that will encompass all types of OC soccer players and fans.
As a starting point, an organization can become a standard Partner to introduce OCSC to its members and families and create fun experiences for players through clinics, discounted game tickets and merchandise, and other great benefits. OCSC will also offer a Preferred Partner Level for clubs that want to focus more on player advancement and coaching development, and perhaps begin to align themselves with their pro club’s style of play and organizational values. Finally, OCSC will start to accept Affiliate Partners for clubs who want to take on a full affiliation with OCSC and integrate curriculums, club branding, and be an official partner with both Orange County SC and Glasgow Rangers FC.
