Orange County SC announced today their official schedule for the 2024 USL Championship season. Similarly to the 2023 season, OCSC will play 34 matches in the USL Championship, split evenly with 17 home matches at Championship Stadium and 17 road matches.
They will play every Western Conference team at home and on the road and will play each Eastern Conference team once, either at home or on the road. Following the departures of two former Western Conference clubs, Memphis 901 FC and FC Tulsa have been shifted over into the Western Conference and the two conferences will again have parity.
The season will begin on the road on Saturday, March 9 when OCSC heads to Heart Health Park to play longtime rivals Sacramento Republic followed by a trip to Highmark Stadium for a matchup with the Pittsburgh Riverhounds on Saturday, March 16. The Black and Orange will make their annual trip to Cashman Field on Saturday, October 5.
OCSC’s home schedule is highlighted by the home opener against The Miami FC on Saturday, March 23. The reigning champion Phoenix Rising will make their annual trip to The Champ on Wednesday, September 25. The 2024 regular season will conclude with a two match homestand, first against New Mexico United on Saturday, October 19, followed by the regular season finale against Hartford Athletic on October 26.
This season comes with a few firsts for the Black and Orange, as it will mark the first visit to Protective Stadium in club history, for a meeting with the Birmingham Legion on Saturday, July 27. North Carolina FC and Rhode Island FC will play at The Champ during their inaugural season on Saturday, August 3 and Saturday, September 14 respectively.
The Black and Orange will play the majority of their matches this year on Saturdays, with 29 of their 34 USL Championship matches being played on Saturday. They also will have four matches on Wednesday and one match on a Friday.
All home matches are scheduled for a 7:00 PT kickoff, but are subject to change. A full promotional schedule will be released at a later date and will feature many OCSC fan favorites.
