Orange County SC visits Miami-Dade County for the first time in club history as they are set for a battle with Eastern Conference foe The Miami FC at FIU Stadium on Saturday, May 27 at 4:00 PM PST. NOT EXACTLY BRINGING THE HEAT
The Miami FC currently sit in 8th place in the USL Championship Eastern Conference. Miami’s season has gone somewhat similarly to OCSC’s this year. They began the year winless in their first six matches, but then won two of their next three. They come into Saturday’s match on a two game skid, most recently having lost a whacky 3-2 decision to San Diego, in a match that featured two own goals and where Miami allowed two goals after the 80th minute. Forward Kyle Murphy has come back into the lineup and has goals in each of his last two matches.
2023 Regular Season Record: 2-4-5 (8th in USL-C Eastern Conference)

GATEWAY TO THREE POINTS
Orange County SC head to the Gateway to the Americas in 11th place in the USL Championship Western Conference. They found themselves on both sides of a 1-0 scoreline at home last week, handing Sac Republic their first loss of the season midweek, and a harsh result to Phoenix on Saturday. Lately, the road has not been kind to the Black and Orange, having not picked up all three points away from Championship Stadium since their 5-2 thrashing of Los Dos last season. An inviting matchup with a struggling Miami side offers OCSC an opportunity to pick up their first three points on the road this season.

MILESTONE WATCH: BRENT RICHARDS
After coming on as a substitute in last Saturday’s match against Phoenix, defender Brent Richards has surpassed the 15,000 minutes played mark for his career in the USL Championship! As he surpasses one milestone, another quickly approaches. He now is just two appearances away from 200 appearances all-time in the USL Championship, 68 of those appearances have come with OCSC.
