
ORANGE COUNTY SC GAMES TO BE BROADCAST LOCALLY ON KCAL 9
Orange County SC has announced that CBS Los Angeles will air five OCSC games on KCAL-TV Ch. 9 this season as part of a historic new deal with the CBS owned station.
With CBS now showing USL Championship games nationwide, CBS Los Angeles wanted to highlight some of the Irvine-based club’s games this year.
“This is an exciting step forward for the club,” said OCSC President of Business Operations, Dan Rutstein. “Soccer is growing like no other sport in this country and we’re pleased that CBS has recognized this and wants to showcase our players and our team to a wider audience.
“Seeing our players’ highlights on the nightly news alongside the Clippers, Lakers, the Dodgers and teams like Angel City is exactly where our soccer product should be.
“We’re excited to bring in new fans to watch our road games on KCAL 9 and then come and join us at the Stadium to experience family-friendly, world-class soccer at its finest.”
KCAL-TV Ch.9 will air live broadcast of 5 OCSC away games, starting this Saturday, April 13th .
