Orange County SC returns home to Championship Stadium for their Second Round Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup match with local semi-professional side Capistrano FC on Wednesday, April 5 at 7:00 PM. The Road to the CONCACAF Champions League begins here, come out and experience the Magic of the Cup!

Capistrano FC currently plays in the semi-professional league, NISA Nation. This league is below the USSF professional pyramid, but is affiliated with the third tier NISA league. They are set to expand into the USL League Two in the near future. Capo is fresh off of their 4-1 win in the USOC First Round against defending USL League Two Champion Ventura County Fusion. Forward Heavany Ramos Mota led Capo in that match with two goals. They have yet to begin their 2023 Spring Season, but are the defending NISA Nation Southwest Division Champions.

THE ROAD BEGINS HERE
Orange County SC begins their road to the CONCACAF Champions League with their first match in the 2023 U.S. Open Cup. OCSC has played 17 previous matches in 11 prior appearances in the Open Cup, having qualified in every year they have been eligible. They have reached the Third Round and Fourth Round of the Open Cup twice in club history. Last year, OCSC defeated LA Force 5-2 at the Champ in the Second Round. They then traveled to what is now known as BMO Stadium for a Third Round away day with LAFC. Former OC Blues defender Mehrshad Momeni is the club’s all-time leader in goals scored in the U.S. Open Cup with four.
