Orange County SC kicks off the second half of the season on the road in Edinburg, TX when they square off with Rio Grande Valley FC Toros on Saturday, July 8 at 5:00 PM PST. The Black and Orange look to continue to fight back into the playoff picture in the Western Conference and continue their stretch of three straight wins.
A SECOND RUN WITH THE BULLS
Rio Grande Valley FC Toros enter tomorrow’s match in 11th place in the USL Championship’s Western Conference, two points behind the Black and Orange. After a 2-0 defeat at Championship Stadium on June 3rd, the Toros have gone unbeaten in their last five matches (2-0-3). They have had a knack of stealing points late across that stretch of games, with equalizers coming in the 97th, 86th, and 96th minute of each of their three draws respectively. Forward Wilmer Cabrera Jr. is one of the five USL Championship Player of the Month nominees for June, presented by Konami eFootball, after scoring four goals last month.

SETTING THE GOLD STANDARD
Orange County SC debuted their new third kit, celebrated their 10th Anniversary and recorded their first come from behind victory of the 2023 season in a 3-1 triumph over now 5th place Monterey Bay FC last Saturday. A first USL Championship goal from defender Owen Lambe and two more from forward Thomas Amang sealed all three points for the Black and Orange and both Amang and Lambe spots on the USL Championship Team of the Week for Week 17. After a stellar June, forward Milan Iloski has been nominated for the Konami eFootball USL Championship Player of the Month for June, after scoring three goals, averaging a goal every 118 minutes, as well as creating seven chances and tallying one assist. Iloski scored the first goal in the 2-0 win over RGVFC at home on June 3 and forward Korede Osundina added the insurance goal. OCSC have now won three straight over RGVFC, including a 2-1 decision the last time the two sides met at H-E-B Park.
